It’s true folks. Arminder Gill had the nerve to hit us with a non-bhangra album. But guess what? He still rocked the house because his vocals mixed with Shinda’s beats are simply unstoppable. For those of you that may not know him, Arminder Gill is known for his slammin track entitled Pehlan Nachiye that’s been remixed over and over again! He worked hard on this album to give us Punjabi music lovers a flat out awesome listen. Got a road trip coming up soon? Don’t wanna hear your parents bickering in the front seat? Then throw in Arminder Gill’s new album and you’ll be left a happy camper. The album is full of deep meaningful lyrics from top to bottom. There isn’t one track that should be passed over. Shinda did a great job in trying to bring out the best in Gill with Shinda’s unique use of the tabla, dhol, waja and various other instruments. The three tracks off this 8 track album that stand out to me are Daru, Sohni Kuri and Punjabi Munde. Trust me, have one listen and you’ll be nodding you head in agreement in no time. Punjabi Munde is somewhat of a bhangra track. What I mean is, it’s a typical Shinda beat that’ll get your shoulders moving if you turn it up just the right amount. Gill also has a few mellow, calm and soothing tracks on the album that shouldn’t be passed up. I personally love up-tempo bhangra music with dhol’s blasting all the way throughout the song. But Gill’s lyrics are too good to be foreshadowed. Tracks like Dildarian, Pardes, Hanju and Lak are tracks I’m talking about. Go out and support this young talented man. You won’t be left disappointed, TRUST ME! Arminder, you get a solid 7 out of 10 from punjabisongs.com. Dude, Amrinder Gill's album is absolutely tight...Shinda absolutely showed how versatile he is w/the album, and proved to all those people that say he's just dhol and bass that he can do way more! Now all he has to do is release that frickin' Collaborations album! |

Nice review bro..
Amrinder really surprised me with this album. The first time I listened to it [well actually the first track, Dildarian], I was a little turned off, because it sounded like a love ballat. But as I gave it a 2nd chance, I started listening to the lyrics and I was hooked. Awesome voice. Although I would've given him a 7.5 outta 10. And lastly the comment about the folks bickering in the front seat was str8 comedy! Although with me, i'm usually the one driving, so the bickering is coming from the backseat!! LOL... |

my fav's from that album are Punjabi Munde and Sohni Kuri... but really the whole album is clean and every song brings a different style. |

Daru, Soni Kuri and Lak are awesome but Dildarian is my favourite song on the album..I just got back from India and Daru is a big hit there..if you're out in Punjab you'll always hear it playing in the shops, at weddings, on the radio, wherever.. |

That's so true ssingh! After I had listened to that album once, I wanted to hear it again, and then I ended up playing it for four weeks in a row basically....a little something for everyone, and the perfect mix of great, inventive beats and an awesome voice! Enjoy my friend, enjoy! |

Hey! yeh the album is great. i have a request. im not too great on punjabi so i was wndering if any of you guys could tell me the meaning of teh lyrics to the song Dildarian. i undertand some of them but not the whole song!! |
